Grandparents helped by the Net?

Posted in In the news

Hello – Sophie here from BeGrand.net.  We’ve got another request for internet-active-grandparents…

The Department of Children, Schools & Families are looking for grandparents who use the internet to resolve problems & issues to tell their stories for a short film. They need to be stories directly related to grandparenting – it could be finding help and advice to deal with specific problems, discovering ways of keeping in touch with grandchildren, advice on working as a team with parents – or just finding friends online who know how you feel and help you cope.  They’re part of a series of short films that will inspire grandparents, amongst others, to get online.

If you’re interested in being involved please contact janeshackleton@wilderfilms.co.uk or give her a call on 020 7631 3417.

There’s no commitment to being involved at this stage – she can explain more about it and find out if you’re interested.  They’re filming between the 6th and 9th January – so you’d need to be available sometime then.  As ever the way, they’d prefer someone in London/ the South East – but are interested in stories from all over.  And looking out the window at the falling snow right now, who can blame them!
